This Fall we did tried to sync up our time with the Ti Family, but unfortunately they had to head out early in September, there weren't that much color going on that early so I had to make this hard decision to just let them go.

the high peaks have their first dusting of snow, a satisfying hunt for fall color was the hike into Lundy Canyon the second day. Large stands of yellow aspen cascade down the hillsides, sprawling splashes of color everywhere underneath a blue sky.

Autumn color swept through Northern California in October, we changed our plan from visiting during Thanksgiving to driving north right after work on October 19, just few weeks after Ti Family did. we missed the peak in north lake, but discovered so much more.

Thanksgiving big family reunion (2) - Tuolumne Table Mountain
this is one of those few times I don't use a photo with Actaeas inside as a head picture simply just because I did not get much shots to pick from...
we were all tired off on the second day of our vacation, its actually pretty warm to the point I started to sweat when we walked.

Actaeas losts his sisters after Ti Family moved to North California half a year ago, this is our first united after apart, along with new members Momo the 4 months old border collie and Ba-Song the doberman mix.

Labor's Day trip - Rainbow Pools/Tuolumne River/Preston Falls
here comes a late update of our labor's day story, I was being extra busy LAZY by not helping Ti mom to schedule this trip, I hope this will not destroy our friendship, and I am truly sorry for not being there.

Happy 4th! it's time for rafting, kayaking and SUP!
We took this 4th of July weekend as an opportunity to head up north, due to Tiru torn her cranial cruciate ligament again,(similar to the ACL in humans) and there will be a surgery waiting for her after 4th (ouch :( ), couldn't do any hikes, so we planed our trip with all water activities, in this case she can just sit and chill :)

Labor Day (2) - at Russian River Adventure peddling with you
the most terrifying part of my Labor Day trip was that I booked my room for the wrong night, lucky they had one room left but with a broken air con, but who needs that in nor cal right?
we actually came to the Russian River at the wrong timing, before our trip I got a phone call from Russian River Adventure office telling me that there was a dog passed away last Saturday, and they are suspecting it's caused by the blue green algae breakout.
that was the only known dog death to from the toxic blue-green algae on the Russian River this year, however, they were highly discouraging people from bringing their dogs on river trips at this time

Ti mom texted me one day and asked if I want to go camping with her
me : Sure, why not? sounds fun!
her : Good, because I've already booked it, and it's none electric hehehehe
me : ...Ah... okay, so have you ever done this before?
her : Nope!
me : Do you know how to build a fire?
her : Nope!
Believe it or not, I started to have a great feeling about this trip from early on
This is also new for all of our furry friends too, we went camping for our July 4th long weekend vacation!

Big Sur (2) - Pfeiffer State + Sand Dollar Beach
I truly wish we could stay longer to see the sunset at Pfeiffer State Beach, I've seen stunning pictures of orange sunset lights cast through the Arch taken by other photographers, just amazing!

Big Sur (1) - Garland Ranch Regional Park
This was the first time in Big Sur area, found several decent of leash places, so we headed north on Friday night as usual, instead of staying at Motel 6 located at King City, we picked the on near Monterrey, it's closer to the Garland Ranch Regional Park, also if we take Cabrillo Hwy south to Mill creek is faster believe it or not.

The first day of Spring is in 2015 is on March 20, it is also called the spring quinox, me and T mom started to check the blossoms report on Fresno's official website not too crazy but 10 times a day, at first we were planing for a second visit to the Fresno Blossom Trail.
