July 4th camping trip (1) - Shaver Lake

Ti mom texted me one day and asked if I want to go camping with her

me : Sure, why not? sounds fun!
her : Good, because I've already booked it, and it's none electric hehehehe
me : ...Ah... okay, so have you ever done this before?
her : Nope!
me : Do you know how to build a fire?
her : Nope!

Believe it or not, I started to have a great feeling about this trip from early on

This is also new for all of our furry friends too, we went camping for our July 4th long weekend vacation!

We got plenty of time (we thought), headed north around 11am in the morning, arrived at our first stop at Shaver Lake in the late afternoon

This place was easy to find, but you have to pay for $5 to get through the gate first

There are trails through the forest and also along the lake, but we stayed by the water for the rest of our day without any hard core hikes

If you think this place is peaceful

You are wrong

My photos lie, this is a popular location(not sure about regular time, at lest when we were there), there were so many people here playing jetskis and all kinds of water activities , we had to move to the further end of the lake to avoid people and cars

See, there are someone playing tubes back there

Tinkerbell is getting braver, she stepped into water without hesitation, later on she swam out for fetching her toy, totally surprised me and her mom

Actaeas rather chewing on sticks than getting his paws wet

look at you, you are in the air!

and some one slept through the beautiful afternoon

we left the lake during sunset, took us a while to find our spot when its all dark out

we got to the campground around 8pm, and that was a BAD move, becuase we had to setup our tent in dark... want's easy I have to say

we even had to use our car head lights to help, and thank god we got it right at the end

we human shared some snacks before bed just for comfort

you kids look just like alligators! back off!!

good night! and see you at the next post :)
