as you can see, I failed to take a group photo of kids this time, It's already a huge miracle to be able to catch our 2 birthday stars in frame, anyways, happy birthday dear Actaeas and Tiru <3

I made a chiffon cake with unsalted tuna, aimed to make it smells just about right for our furry friends, good enough to make them drool, but not too good to cause girls fight like what happened last time...
pretty excited when I made the cake because I just got this mold early this year!
I used strawberry, blueberry and yogurt icing for decorating, did not have enough time to bake cookie alphabets for names and age unfortunately.
the yogurt icing is made for pets, gluten free, no soy, wheat or lactose.
I put some shredded mint on top of the cake for the final touch, not only for decoration, this can also help our friends' breaths!
the icing did not dry before we hit the road, it kept dripping like a milky waterfall, but I think birthday stars did not mind.
Actaeas is officially 3 and Tiru turned 11 this May, wish you two stay healthy as always, keep being two of the happiest dogs in the world, we still have so many years to go, keep it up!
Ti mom said this cake looks like it's made for human, and yes, I love baking, I do not have too many people in my house to gobble my crazy productions, so doggie birthdays always gave me great excuses to practice my skills ;)

I wish I could capture Thinkerbell in focus, but I have to admit I was nearly died laughing when I saw her.
good news is its still in one piece after we took it home for a week, Actaeas haven't pull little dragon's tummy inside out.

photos I took that day were a big mess, I wish I could blame the weather(yet this is not the reason why I failed), the sun showed up for 5 minutes and gone for almost the rest of the afternoon. LA is acting like a cranky old lady this year, I remember it was 85F in Feb and now we got rain, crazy windy days (my neighbor's dog was so cute barking at the wind for whole day) and only 60F at night (or is this only happening at the west side?).
there will be a 2 days Memorial Day trip later on, finger crossed for the sunshine, and be ready you little derp face ;)
