Flying Actaeas: Happy 4th birthday to Tissue at Griffith Park

surprisingly I've never made a cake for Tissue before even though we had so many birthday parties, usually I was never around during January.
Ti family waited for my return this year, and we celebrated Tissue's belated birthday on Feb 21.

I came up with making a 6 inches chicken Paris Brest for dogs

this is not the best pipping in the world, but I was pretty satisfied with my first try

baked this first at a high temperature and than reduced to allow the outside of the shell to become firm.

Once the Paris Brest has cooled, I cut it in half horizontally, and filled with chicken flavored cream.

instead of dusting the top with sugar, I used flour for the finishing touch.

and a cookie with her name on it is a must, we are ready for the party!

we've been trying to find open spaces for this kind of party all the times, Pepperdine University was always too windy to stay outside, traffic on CA-1 was always nasty, I suggested to come to Griffith Park for a try, much shorter drive so I did't have to worry about melting cake, and we were so lucky to find an empty area for us to play.

ahem... you are not the birthday girl today you know that right?

I always tried to make something dogs will absolutely go insane, this time, i bet it smelled too good that Tissue couldn't even hold her face together, she was so mad because she thought other pups were too close to her cake.

and we couldn't take a group photo with the cake neither, because except Actaeas, no one will stay in their spot if we put the cake down, hey can you guys please look at the camera not the cake for just a second?
