Christmas Winter Dash(1) - Bryce Canyon/Cornoa Arch

We moved! Visit the same post on the new site here:

We went on extraordinary trips to so many different places to celebrate 2015 Christmas. On Dec 23 night, we secretly went past Nevada, drove 6 hours from LA to Utah, and visited Bryce Canyon on Dec 24 afternoon.

had to admit that I am a stupid driver from California who has no idea people should drive under 20mph in this weather, I drifted right into the snow 5 minutes after we arrived Bryce.

Actaeas: uh... Help?...

it was pretty foggy that day, sadly we did not get any sun there

first snow contact this year!

lucky we made it on time  to see this mind blowing scenery, red rock in snow was just stunning

we walked around the trail and went back to the motel that day, it's short, but we have hikes tomorrow!

on Dec 25 Christmas day, we went to Cornoa Arch, it's a natural sandstone arch near Moab

can't remember how cold it was but Ti mom gave Tiru a cute hat and made her looks ridiculously adorable

awwwwww, look you have four ears!

this hike is only 1.5 miles to the arch

there's a railroad near the trailhead

Tiffy, I know you don't like Actaeas that much, but you don't have to show it this way

Merry Christmas everyone!

this is quite an easy trail, but the path was covered with snow, we followed wrong footprints to the top of the hills and realized we wasted 30 minutes wondering around

give us a little bit of sun please! :(

I rented a 5DSR camera for the trip and totally sold, I can feel big differences compare to 5D3 I borrowed last winter, this camera is so nice!

if you bring furry friends, you might need to give them a hand at some point

there're handles and a ladder bolted to the rock allows visitors to climb a short cliff

we shall wait for the girls, that's what a gentleman do.

can you see the the famous Rainbow Bridge? we are getting close!

I was hoping for a clear blue sky in the background, and like I said, the hike was easy, we reached the rock and was like... that's it?

couldn't even believe we made it that quick

we met two other hikers under the Arch, they kindly hid behind the Arch for few minutes so we could take some photos with our dogs

awww Tiru, look at you!

this coldness means NOTHING to me :3
I was born for snow! :3

Ti mom told me she got that hat from Target, it suits Tiru so well.

and here comes the sun! woohoo!

Actaeas, can you feel the sun hugging your back?

forgive me putting 3 similar photos here, I was so happy to see the sun at last and certainly couldn't decide which one is the best shot.

I put this as my phone wallpaper ;)

this is just the start of our 2015 Christmas trip, there are more to come Actaeas! there will be more!
