April madness 2017 super bloom (2)

We missed the trip with the Ti family going to the Walker Canyon for yellow poppies in March, so here we are near the Antelope Poppy Reserve on April 8th to gain some spring orange power.

After struggled for hours in the car, we arrived at 3:00pm, the weather was so windy and actually really cold for April in South California.

I was also surprised by the crowd, because years ago wasn't like this, I still remember our first visit there was barely anyone but us.

this made it really hard to take good photos, but consider to keep my photo diary accurate, I did not erase people in editing.

I could have photoshop those people out with literally one click.

like this!

now

people are GONE!

RIGHT?

I swear am not being lazy, I just want to keep our memories right
and bare with me for not keeping color consistence... my camera can't handle re, also the sun went on and off (or should I say clouds) like a disco.

We moved further away to avoid photobombs but separated from Ti-family.

to be honest, the amount of visitors here did ruined the view

and obviously we came at the wrong time of the day, poppies shied away because of cold winds and low temperature.

we were not in the reserve, not sure if the situation will be lot better in there, but this is the one of few dog friendly places for us to get close to poppies, we met some other happy pups here too.

me and Actaeas were with with Ti-Family that day, its a shame I did not take much group photo with them because I ran really far away to avoid crowds, and T mom decided to stay in her car after 30 minutes. I want to say that this wasn't a pleasant visit, although its not this place's fault, just me comparing with my good old memories in 2014.

here is our old post in 2014
