Franklin Canyon reservoir loop/ Kenneth Hahn Community Loop

Tiffy and Tiru stayed with me for a month when Ti-mom wasn't in states, Tiru was still recovering from the previous surgery so during the time of Ti mom's absences I brought only two kids Actaeas and Tiffy to check out some of the on leash dog friendly trails, it would be a mess to hike with 5 leashed dogs, two might be my limit.

we went to Franklin Canyon reservoir loop one afternoon

I was surprised to see so much shaded area along this lovely trail, it's quiet and full of wield lives

there are a lot of loops around this area, most of them are not marked, but easy to fallow

this trail pretty much follows the shore of the reservoir around a pond

we found so many turtles here!

although Tiffy has zero interest in those creatures

we stopped way too many times than we actually needed just to enjoy the day

there are also lots of picnic tables along the way, this is a perfect place to walk in a laid back afternoon without heavy sweating even during summer in LA, Loved it!

few days before returning(?) Tiffy to Ti mom, we visited Kenneth Hahn Community Loop

unlike hikes we always picked, this is also an on leash trail

I finally worked a way out to walk them without crazy tangling, I simply linked Tiffy's leash on to Actaeas :P

this trail offers outstanding views of  the big city

around us was a sweeping panorama that I couldn't include them all in one shot

this might be one of the best city view you could possibly get near LA, but watch out for the heat for some part of the trail, there are also some serious cactus too.

this is our end of August trip, I updated this post way too late, apologies for my laziness, and there will be more catch up articles to come soon (I hope...)
