besides those hiking dates, this post is about food, new toy, few small walks I caught on my phone in January.
around last May, I saw this cool project called Tikr on Kickstarter, I backed it right after watched their video, and we finally got this toy after 8 months! so worth it!
>>Tikr<<
me and Actaeas were so excited, one of the best things about this toy is that surprisingly, it doesn't need a battery
it comes with the Tikr and a small bag of treats
there are three different size holes on each side that allows treats to progressively fall out
treats also comes with different sizes, sometimes I also put our own goodies into the toy
I filmed the first time Actaeas plying with Tikr, Actaeas was just gently pushing it around to get food out, but now Actaeas will smash it and throw it in the air as he usually does to Kong.
Tikr will keep him busy for a good hour if I drop in a bigger treat
we are really happy with this investment :)
Actaeas: Mom, are you leaving now? can you just go? please! don't worry about me, really, I will be super extra triple good I promise! are you leaving now??????? if you don't go I can't play you know!
about food, I finnaly ordered meat from Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow (you will find this name pretty weird if you are not familiar with raw feeding), I've been thinking of doing this for 3 years, but I always turned into grinding chicken by myself.
I ordered 30lbs for a trial, got Actaeas great selections of different protein types.
their packaging is way better than I imagined, contains were all good and frozen when the box arrived, no leaking, so organized and clean.
the meat is so fresh without a smell that I will even get when I buy food from human supermarket.
fine grinding too, I am so pleased with this purchase!
the park we used to go finally turned green
it rains a lot this winter in south California
but fortunately we always got sun during weekends, so we never miss our dates
we also explored the Hastain loop at Franklin Canyon in one late afternoon
last week, we went out with Ti family, and found us a secret no name trail near San Gabriel mountain
that was a fun trail climbing all the way up along the river
it was quite easy at the beginning, but started to turn rocky after few hours
I kinda forced Ti mom to stop going since I really don't know where this trail is leading us, or even how far away is the end.
plus I really hate rocky hikes when I don't have good shoes on.
I am ending this small talk here in a awkward way, we will see you guys in the next post! :3
