we were at Charmlee Wilderness Park on November 5th! this trail instantly became one of my top 10 most favorite hikes with no doubts!
friendly reminder, this is a dog friendly ON LEASH trail, all the photos we took were just for posing, Actaeas was on leash when we hike :)
parking here is $4 day use fee, Charmlee Wilderness Park is by the coast, operated by the city of Malibu.
I also got a map from the Modern Hiker website, this 3 miles loop looks like a cute scorpion shape
the trail starts out paved but turns into a dirt road in to the park.

after walked past ranch ruins, the road led us to an impressive grassland, it's pretty dry right now, but I can tell this place will be so green and beautiful when spring comes, we will definitely come back next year to check out wiled flowers!
this park doesn't have much shades but that did not bother us because we came here in the early morning.
I checked out some people's photos, these grassy meadows basically puts on an amazing display of wildflowers in spring!
wow is that Batman right besides me!?
we climbed up on the rocks to get views of the Pacific without knowing that was not yet the best spot
nom nom nom, I am a wolf, I just ate a human >:3
roads here are not always marked with names, I used my phone to check our location all the times so we will not wandering off.
tell me! tell me! what did you see?

when we got to the Ocean Overlook, I was stunned and out of words, this trail provided a majestic view down the coast. I heard when it's not foggy people will have a chance to see Catalina Island from here.

having fog was nice too, it felt like we were walking above the clouds!
the overlook loop is 0.25 miles, it also gave us great views of the houses along the Malibu coastline. I am totally in love with this place.
say goodbye to the tiny beetle, we will be visiting this park again! I promise!
