weekends this and that

I've been working both days every weekend after Labor Day, expecting to be so busy like this until the end of the October, not sure if I will miss the fall color this year, truly hope not...
just to warn you, this is a relatively boring post, if you haven't check our last article about Russian River at Sonoma, click below

Cahuenga Peak from Wonder View Trail

for the pass few weeks, I kept my morning free and got back to work in the afternoon through late night so I can still enjoy some mini hikes and fun with Actaeas during daytime, I dug out few more dog friendly places to go, the first one we tried was to see the back of the Hollywood sign

and that was an  EPIC  FAIL

the easiest way to get to the trailhead is to take Lake Hollywood Drive from Barham Blvd so you can avoid trapping yourself into the maze of Hollywood Hills roads.

people can't park on Wonder View Drive, but there's plenty of free parking on Lake Hollywood, walking all the way up to the trailhead under 90 °F heat already burned out half of my energy.

this trail is about 3 miles long, uphill hikes all the way

maybe this trail is not for summer, or we should come really early in the morning, we stopped way too often and I got hot stroke after 20 minutes already.

we did not even make it to the wisdom tree, decided to take a photo and retreat, will come back next time during winter perhaps... I was also glad that Tiru did not come with us or she might be the first one to fall

wow you are so fast just like a storm!

we got back down to the ground level and I felt like I just came back from hell

we took another group photo and realized we never have a photo with all the kids in it under this sign

see last post

another weekend we decided to explore more around our home

and I truly wanted to slap myself because I missed out this beautiful trail for years, should have come earlier...

it's nearly sunset so the weather wasn't that hot neither, although I still can't wait for winter to come

Tinkerbell : look! I have the tallest shadow!

I took this picture and the next second I realized he was pooping

we got to the top and had another group photo, Tiru where are you look at!?

Thinkerbell got bitten by a centipede the other day and got swollen face and her head looked twice bigger, luckily her face returned to normal after a day or two.

we had a centipede in my room not long ago, although centipedes are one of those beneficial insects and they hunt silverfish, centipedes just terrified me with thousands of legs or what ever those are... I rater have one million silverfish in my house but not one centipede, they have to go.

last photo in the mountain, let's see if I will have more free time to see full colors.
