Douglas Family Preserve + Hendry's Beach

16-35

we were thinking of to go somewhere far during the july 4th long weekend, ended up we were all too lazy and  it doesn't make sense to kill ourselves by 20 hours drives just because of a trend that everyone just have to do something big on independent day

16-35

we couldn't make up our minds so on the Thursday night it's already too late, hotel rooms are all out, so we went to Santa Barbara for a day trip instead

16-35

the weather was nice and cool because the trail is by the beach

16-35

Actaeas was totally out of control today, fail on recalls and 80% of the commands

16-35

I didn't want to be too harsh on him but I do want him to be 99.99% come when call, it's handy and safer if something dangerous happened I don't have to chase him around

16-35

when ever Actaeas is too hyper, it's hard to get his attention

16-35

I like this picture but what's wrong with the depth of field...

24-105

he did horrible sit stay, guessing it's because of the ground is too hot

24-105

and it's always hard to take pictures of red flowers using 550D

24-105

on the website it says Douglas Family Preserve it's 75 acres big, but we found it's quite small for dog area

24-105

your the next coming birthday star Tiffy!

24-105

someone said Actaeas has pig nose, is he???!!

24-105

by the way, today is Tiru's first trip after the injury

135

we went to Hendry's Beach after the short hike, because I didn't wear sport shoes so you couldn't go to Santa Ynez Recreation Area

135

after testing out all kinds of lenses, I feel the day i got 135L was one of the best decisions I've ever made

135

length, weight, quality, shatter speed are all just perfect to me

135

Actaeas was running like a wind

135

and the crab toy is here of course!

135

everyone went crazy for it

135

we met a red and rust Dobe, I was screaming with joy in my head, really love them

135

he is with natural ears and tail undocked, really rare to see, I was asking some breeders questions about dobermans the other day and most of them scoffed at me like how come I could even bring up a natural look dobe, and that insulted them.

135

he is from rescue, I got turned down by rescue before I got Actaeas just because I had never have a big dog before

135

his owner said he wasn't this brave to get into the water, I will say it's the little crab magic ;)

135

so it turned out to be 4 dogs included Tissue was fighting over the squeaky crab

135

huge wolf dog with tiny Actaeas

135

I do not have too much photos of Tiru because I am not sure where she went, and I didn't catch Tiffy's shaking moment this time

135

Tinkerbell was trying to climb up a big pile of sand

135

Actaeas found his BFF when we were about to leave

135

I am not sure what that dog is, looks like a baby Australian Shepherd, so cute!
